The Peru Carbon Footprint platform, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment, aims to measure and recognize the efforts of organizations in reducing their carbon emissions and their contribution to the fight against climate change. At ZAMine, aligned with our commitment to caring for the environment, in 2022 we will begin measuring our carbon footprint to contribute to the mitigation of climate change. To date we have been recognized with two stars on the Peru Carbon Footprint platform, which respond to the measurement and verification of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from the activities we carry out at ZAMine.

This recognition is an important milestone within the corporate strategic plan and inspires us to continue our actions to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. Therefore, as a new challenge we focus on taking GHG mitigation to the next level, through the execution of our plan to reduce and neutralize GHG emissions. In addition, our strategic plan focused on the environment includes strategic alliances for the development of environmental plans in each operation; as well as the continuous improvement of eco-efficiency, segregation and waste disposal procedures and practices.
